The reason I asked was that there were several 60-61 fuel pumps on eBay for 
~~$20, whereas 62-69 are $60 +

I think it can, but why? the 61 pump shaft is longer that the LM pumps. I
suppose in a pinch the shaft could be cut down, (shortened), but I wonder if 
the
end of the rods were hardened to prevent excessive wear?
