Big difference cooling the air charge vs. cooling the air + fuel charge.
Cooling the air charge increases the air density and may increase
horsepower. Cooling the air + fuel charge in most cases condenses the fuel
and drops it out of the air stream making for really uneven burn
characteristics.

The big deal for hopping up late model rice burners seems to be honking big
chrome air intake manifold. Also recent VV post spoke of the benefits of the
length of air intake manifolds discovered by Chrysler Corp in the 50's and
60's. Has anyone experimented with this on the corvair engine?
