Smitty Says; Dave you can recheck all your float levels to make sure they
are right but in the end you will find that is the nature of the beast. To
get around it you can pull the chrome plug on top of the carb air horn.
(Fairly large one). get a piece of 1/4 OD tubing about 6" long and shove it
down in the hole to where the inner end goes past the diagonal port that
intersects it inside. Then bend the tube so it sticks straight up. What
you have done is move the bowl vent way up in the air and slosh from the
bowl will not climb that high, nor will it go down the throat of the carb
and flood the engine as it has been doing. I did this years ago on many YHs
and I promise you can all but lay the car on the door handles and it will
never miss a lick in a turn again.
