Or don't.  The news story is short on details, but it certainly sounds 
like this was a car with the keys in the ignition -- the owner had 
gotten out to pump gas.

Wiser to always take the keys, even if you're going to be only a few 
feet from the car.

Plus, this car is a convertible.  You can lock it, but there has hardly 
been a car made that is easier to break into than a late model Corvair 
convertible.  If you don't feel like cutting the roof with a knife, you 
can just pull the door glass aside.
