Wouldn't vote for Ralphie if he was the only name on the ballot.  He moans 
about the Corvair, but the VW he was driving had almost exactly the same 
problem.  And it was basically a geometry problem.  Corvair fixed it in 65 
(maybe even late 64), and VW didn't fix it until the 1968 model year. . . .

Both vehicles had a smaller rear axle width than front.  Once the 
manufacturers changed so that the rear axle was a tad wider than the front, 
the handling changed.    People used to buy spacers for the rear axle on 
VW's, too.
