I had an 85 Jimmy with glass top but never considered taking it off. I had a
Jeep CJ-7 for 11 years so I had enough of that. I always heard once you took
them off they never sealed right and leaked water. Not sure if that's true
but I didn't want to find out.

Early Blazers and Broncos had completely removable roofs. Later models had
the removable rear section only.... but I bet 98% have never been off...
