Had the same thing happen when I took a 65 500 blood red car to the local painter's supply looking for a match to the repaint job.  Aren't computers wonderful ... they scanned the paint and fed the data into the automated paint mixing machine.  Out came the can of paint, a full gallon mixed exactly to perfectly match ... Oh, oh, so why is the paint in the can bright red?  :-))
