 Brilliant idea! So to speak... Washers have a switch like that to control water level. Set it to low, and this should work as well.

Also I have a pressure switch from a clothes dryer connected to the top engine 
shroud that in the event of a fan belt getting tossed will light up a bright 
yellow light on the dash. I've seen this one a few times!
