<VV> valve cover races

I have never been to any Corvair show or convention, and plan on going to Cedar Rapids this summer. I think I might like to enter the Valve cover races. sounds  a like fun way to meet Corvair people. Could someone fill me in on the " rules & regulations", such as do the valve covers need to be Corvair? Any suggestions/ help will be appreciated
