Just so you guys who don't know me are informed, I have done a total restoration myself of my 64  Spyder (except paint) and advanced to Senior Division at Concours last year. I have plenty of wasted time on the side of the road under a decklid. I am not afraid of anything except the unknown, like what did the previous owner do that causes strange noises in the suspension?  Or why did my 64 steering box fail-  because it wasn't adjusted properly by the PO or just not lubricated? Last summer a 65 owner I know was asking the question why does the newly installed telecolumn wheel turns but not the steering arms? These questions have explanations and solutions but one cannot substitute their own mechanical knowledge for someone else's.  I don't assume others have the same skills and abilities that I do on this forum. Their's may be better!  Alas, some are worse.
