<VV> original mag fan color ..(again?)

i am in process of "refreshing" a low mileage (shows 27,000) original 64  
corvan VB motor. the mag  fan i just removed is a semi gloss factory?  finish 
, over a gray coating. the gray shows around the bolt holes where the  
pulley pressed on it. the coating over it looks just like the shrouds (which are 
 in amazing condition ). i will be taking many pictures of this job , as it 
is a  rare treat to work on something mostly unmolested.
i will be doing a lot to this motor , and converting to 4 spd. 
i will just detail and clean with as little change as possible to  it. 
progress will also be fed to the CNYCORVAIR.com website as i get  time.  the 
owner hopes to bring it to Iowa. i better get to work!

finally down to:
64 A/C coupe ... nice driver 
63 rampy      same condition
61 lakewood   in process . saved from the crusher with high  school 
bodywork class help.
other peoples problems as a side "situation"?
