To all customers who have placed orders for the 1:43 scale Fitch Phoenix
models.
Well, I guess it was bound to happen one day. I regret to inform you that
unfortunately we are going to have to cancel this production run. I am
very sorry, and hope that this will not be too much of a disappointment to
everyone.
As I had written in my e-mail Newsletter earlier this month; there was a
fire at the original factory whom we were working with, and the question as
to if and when they would be able to continue was never satisfied. So, I
went to another small factory that also caters to small specialists such as
my company, CMA. This other factory was able to accommodate me, but after
initially agreeing to the quantity I was ordering, they later came back with
a higher minimum order requirement which was far above the quantity I was
ordering. Therefore, with this particular production run, I am not in the
position to absorb the extra quantity of models. As I mentioned from the
outset of this special model run; this was to be a one time production run and
I would only produce enough models for what I had firm orders for.
I’ve been producing limited edition hand built models and kits for over 20
years, and this is the first time I have ever had to cancel a project
after accepting orders and before any models were produced.
I can say with complete confidence that no one is more disappointed than
me. I have spent a lot of time on preliminary work as well as some money on
this project, but I just cannot justify going further with having to
accept and stock so many extra models.
Once again, I do apologize for this. Please feel free to contact me with
any questions.
Regards,
Marshall Buck
