 Given the fanbelt on these cars, why not put an idler where the alternator is, and use a CS130, 105 amp alternator mounted like the A/C compressor? FAR better idle output, and the existing fanbelt just drives the fan!

Hank, is the 78 amp internally regulated, or does it still use the
regulator? I've already converted this EM 62 to the 37 amp, which works
great. I have no plans to add high power stero equipment, but Computerized
engine controls take a bit of power too. Its on the drawing board for this
next year when I overhaul the engine. I'm planning MPFI and distributerless
ignition, in tank fuel pump, etc. Mark Durham
