Cash, did you do a clutch job while you were at it? Were any of the
new parts different? The throw out bearing and pivot ball or clutch
fork changed?

You can take the clutch rod out by opening up the bell housing by
removing the cover where the rod enters, and pulling the plug out of
the hole above that, and removing the cotter pin and pin. See page 114
in clarks catalog for linkage setup. Mark Durham
