<VV> REAR ENGINE HOUSING OIL LEAK?

My concerned is however that in this rebuild I did nothing to the rear engine 
housing, apart from a detailed cleaning and the use of new gaskets I did nothing 
else to it.

At this point just add some   Locktite  thread sealant around the shaft's outer edge..


Had it been a leaker before it would've been very noticeable...  and you most likely would've pressed the shaft out to investigate.
