Hi Steve,
Thanks for the update and I know all of us will be looking forward to your updated roster of '69s. Thanks for putting it together. Can you please continue to use the '69 Group Mailing List to update us, rather than just using the Group Facebook page? Not all of us live our lives on Facebook or have time or an inclination to go there. Maybe I'm a '69 "caveman" but I think that postings to the mailing list should remain the main form of '69 Group communication -- other than the newsletter -- without forcing us to think to check Facebook for Group news. Thanks for all your efforts,
Dave

Dave,
I've been compiling all of the Mark's update listings into the 1969 Corvair
Roster and also adding all of the previously unknown '69s that have been
identified to the 1969 Group over the past two plus years.
As you stated, #3829 has been previously unknown, so I will add this to the
roster.
As I mentioned on the 1969 Group's Facebook page, a roster update will be
included with the upcoming newsletter that Jim B. is working on. By the way
folks, don't forget to send your 1969 corvair stories to Jim for the
newsletter.
(Teaser: there will be more than 1250 cars listed on the 1969 Corvair
roster)

Hi,
I think I found a previously unknown '69 today...#3829, a Monza Coupe
Powerglide, Frost Green (aren't they all?), Green Interior, radio, 140
Powerglide. Body number 309026, built Third week of February. It's not in
our 1969 Fingertip Facts Roster or in Mark's update listings. It's been
sitting outside but is complete except for the AIR system. It looks to be
all original with an excellent body except for the left front fender which
is crumpled ahead of the wheel opening but within a relatively small area
and it doesn't look like it affected the rest of the front sheet metal. The
very nice license frames appear to be correct '69 vintage from F.H. Dailey
Chevy in Oakland. This would make a nice driver with some TLC. It
definitely should be saved. The car is part of Don Sprayberry's large
collection of Corvairs in Fresno, Calif. Some of his 50+ Vairs are parts
type cars but most are restorable and complete. They rage from from 1960 on
up with some from every year including a cou
ple 60 Monzas, two 60 sedans, several A/C cars (including a 63 Monza
coupe, 64s & 65s), a 63 Corvan plus several other FCs including a Rampside,
3 68s including a convert, 3 '67s, and a 61 500 Lakewood (red). Don wants
to sell the cars complete and not have them picked for parts. Call Don at
559-906-1289 or email him at saltgmc at aol.com and tell him I sent you. He's
a CORSA member and longtime Corvair guy who'll you'll like! Please be sure
to send any new '69 sightings, ownership changes, reports of scrapping etc.
to Eve Ellis at eemumkat at earthlink.net . She's planning to maintain Mark's
'69 registry. Dave Newell
