A 48-year-old Perris motorist died this weekend after he crashed his
vintage Chevy Corvair into a power pole just north of that city, California
Highway Patrol officers say.
Edgar Corson was driving the south on Alexander Street near Moore Street
when the 1965 Corvair drifted off the roadway and onto the dirt shoulder at
2:11 a.m. Saturday, Officer Sylvia Vargas said in a written statement. The
crash site is about two blocks north of Cajalco Road and west of I-215.
Corson died at Riverside County Regional Medical Center. Riverside County
coroner's officials have released no information on Corson or the accident.
