<VV> OBD, EFI, etc.

Back in the '90s, a guy in the San Diego club paid $2,000 to have Turbo City up
Orange County install an EFI system on the 140 engine in his Late coupe. He said
he did it mainly to eliminate problems with carb linkage from falling apart
while he autocrossed. The EFI did this, and cut a second or two (as I
recall) from his course time.

Gents, one of the reasons I am in the process of adding EFI to my corvair is
get rid of the fuel smell from those Rochester Carbs, in the garage. I don't
mind the oil smell, etc, but the fuel smell gets to me (and my wife). So,
when efi is in place, I expect that when the injectors turn off and stop the
fuel, I won't smell it any more in the garage.  Mark Durham
