That is presuming you have checked your cable and wiring and there are no
bad wires or corrosion on any connections? I've seen corroded connections do
the same thing. I've seen corrosion work up or down the power cable from the
battery to the point it won't flow the amperage required any more.
The voltage jumps across the corrosion to engage the bendix but then cannot
sustain the "jump" long enough to turn over the car.
