<VV> dual MC failure question

What for?  One reservoir of the MC goes to the front brakes and the 
other one goes to the rear ones.  If one system fails, the other should 
still work...  I think a proportioning valve is only necessary when the 
system is set up crossed (LF + RR & RF + LR).. at least I think that's 
the way it works...
