Funny you should say that.
I just finished helping a friend with a broken clutch cable in his 140 fix
it. At the same time we installed a new parking brake cable. I was twisted
up under the dash as you described. Working cramped and on my back over the
drivers seat and under the wheel with the shift lever stabbing me in the
gut! Not a pretty sight!
I did a pre-emptive hit of Alleve to ward off the resulting joint pain...
