<VV> Pay someone - Flat Rate / No Vair

It was in one of those "Santa" towns in California, I think maybe Santa
Maria that my Rampside lost it's alternator bearing just as it was getting
dark. Wife and I pulled off the freeway at a totally dark spot and walked
over it where we found a fire station where we called AAA. The AAA truck
arrived just as we got back and took us to a nice motel a short ways up the
highway and backed the Rampside under a yard light at the motel. I called
one of two names in the CORSA roster and he said "sure, he had a spare
alternator". He got there in maybe six minutes at which time I had the bad
unit off. Maybe another six or eight minutes to set the replacement on, the
local helper only wanted $5 as he only used generators and we were free to
go out for a nice dinner. That $5 alternator lasted for years and the whole
event was the best breakdown I ever had. Unfortunately I can't remember the
name of the good Samaritan of Santa Maria, that was some years ago.
