Yes, start with the Floor switch, if that is noty it go to the headlight
switch.
But if it still does it.........
I had a non-Corvair of the same automotive era that occasionally would have
the headlights go out, but come back on later. Turned out it was one of the
wire connections in the fuse block area that was corroded behind the fuse
block.
It was heating up causing the breaker in the headlight switch to trip, but
when it later cooled off, the headlights would work again.
Changed a lot of switches before having to trace it down and find the real
culprit.
