without going to my books , there were different valve bodies , an added  
spring to the apply servo , and a couple other slight mods to deal with 
vacuum  differences and shift patterns. they were not critical to the average 
user , and  most people would not feel a difference. i have done about every 
criss cross  swap of such parts you can think of over the years with no 
problems.  bobs  book is the best way to know why / what  if you really need to 
know.
