<VV> Back to the Cars.. EM suspension Question

Hey All,
 
I will be working on a '64 convertible that had a fire on the driver-side rear. A number of the rubber pieces did not survive. (may they rest in peace) I left my manual at work. Any suggestions on the easiest way to replace the cushion rubber. The engine and transmission are already out. Will I need to drop the whole rear suspension?
