And Also on wednesday, in Iowa, is the CPF presentation --usually some great
Corvair history is presented. Guess we could drop that from the schedule--
NOT! Last years presentation by Dave Newell was fantastic even with the
hiccups.
with only three nights to work with for scheduling, one dedicated to the
annual CORSA and CPF mtgs plus the CPF presentation, another to the banquet
(the first night for early arrivals is the welcome party), there is only
one evening left.
Last year was similar -- a "tuna boat" tour filled the "extra" night. That
is another popular event. A shorter convention translates to more conflicts
or fewer things on the evening agenda. Some would suggest dropping the
banquet. I really enjoy the banquet and the hoopla that occurs at the
nationals, but something that sits in the back of the mind.
The convention organizers try to accomodate everyone. Try to minimize
conflicts. But unless we start scheduling meetings during the competitive
events (another conflict) or keep a longer convention schedule, it is very
difficult to avoid conflicts in the schedule. We do try, now, to schedule
the VV meeting late, so it may last as long as it wants.
