<VV> Oil pressure gauge and shut off switch setup

I think I may have miscalculated the number of plumbs that I need in
installing a sender for an oil pressure gauge. Here is the skinny.
I ordered an oil pressure shutoff switch from Cal for the electric
fuel pump. I attached the sender for a dial gauge on an improvised
line using brake line tubing and a grease gun hose to the sender for
the gauge to move it to the pinch weld near the battery. I t'ed the
shut off sender for the fuel pump to this. I didn't get a plumbing
connection that would allow for two senders (original and the shutoff
version). On the shutoff version from Cal, there are two poles.
One is for the power (to battery) and the other to the fuel pump
power wire. My oil pressure sender (the one that will actually give
the pressure readings) has a ground terminal and a sensor terminal
that goes to the gauge under the dash. Is it possible to run the
original sender wire to one of these terminals and get the same
effect as the original, lighting the dash light (idiot light) before
turning the engine over?
