Hmm. I've had several FCs and I have carried 4x8 material. Yes, the sheet
has to go diagonally through the door, but once in, they lay flat on the
fender tops. The seats have to be out for this to work. If this were [the
other Corvair forum], I'd attach an old photo of my '65 GB loaded to the
gills in a 25 year-old photo.  That event was remarkable because I went to
the lumber store and purchased materials to make a 12x16 plywood building.
I must have taken two trips 'cause I can't imagine it all fitting in one
load but as photographed the GB was on all four suspension stops and it was
so hard to steer that I thought I would surely break something major.
Nothing broke but I sure learned a lesson!
