<VV> GPS and magnets

  hmmm...magnets lose their strength when heated up & although 
  I'm not certain which gets hotter:

  the oil filter or the oil pump screen

  but my brother has always strapped these hard drive magnets 
  on the oil filter via a hose clamp :)
