More than likely.


I have several axles for '63-up with good bearings but no more 
'60-62.   And without some mods the later axle bearings won't go on a '60.


I also have an issue with the yoke on the driver side (the 
questionable bearing side).   I've tried to get it off with no 
luck.   Heating with torch, breaking one puller and kinking up 
another, hammering, nothing seemed to work.   A week's worth of 
Blaster made no difference either.







...beginning to think I'll have to cut it off.   Or cut the axle.

The trick would be to replace the backing plate altogether so the 
later bearing would go on the car.   So far the "busy" noise hasn't 
gotten any worse...  and it did get thoroughly cleaned and regreased 
and outer races repositioned to place fresh meat on the load side, 
maybe give the rollers a break...
