Killing time at O-Reilley's tother day, I stumbled on a display of
Rustoleum DIY paint kits. Hmmm so I have googled up Rustoleum,
Paint-it-yourself blogs, etc. Hmmmm .... I am circling this idea like a
moth to the flame. There was a thread here a couple years ago about a vair
owner rolling on 6 or so coats of Rustoleum, wet sanding then buffing out
final, as I remember. Held up at last count about 4 or 6 years....

I got a racer buddy pro who will prepare and shoot the best of PPG, also he
has a baking stall ... does a great job, I called him and he says if you
have last months paint, you are obsolete already; kinda like computers ...
(g) ...  but even thru his kindness to old foks it's still 1K$ plus paint;
my local good reputation body guy wants $3500 for the good stuff.

The rustoleum kit ( primer, color, and clearcoat ) is about $100 or so
total ... and of course my labor, which my wife assures me is worthless
anyway.

********
Holy Tomolly... Rustoleum sure has a lot of products, but the kits at
OReallys? don[t have much of a selection of colors... Sunrise Red is a hair
too orange for me, but my little v8vair is begging for new clothes ... last

painted ppg+clear about 1992. If had my druthers, I would go Ford Pickup
Red, boy is that saturated.

just some thoughts ... ken at deltawerkes ( & soon to be paint shop.. roll
on style, probably. ).
