From Porsche 911 By Patrick C. Paternie - page 93

  http://tinyurl.com/weight-porsche

as an example, the 65 Porsche 911 weighs 2380 lbs.

  the 65 Corvair 500 2dr hardtop weighs 2385 lbs.

So the weight argument is indeed a valid one Bill -- the 65 Porsche (2.0 liter),
does weigh 5 lbs. less than the 2.7 liter Corvair ;-)
