Matt, really? You said points plate to fix engine surging at low power
settings, coasting, etc:
Disconnecting and plugging the vacuum line for the vacuum advance makes the
problem go away

I've got the same thing with my 62 102 hp, but I've just added the Pertronix
II to it, so the plate is new?? Any other ideas? I have noticed that the
vacuum advance, at this point in engine operation, occilates back and forth,
like low vacuum?
