Most SS bolts are Grade 4. However, SS isn't much like steel at all, it galls, it has far lower fatigue strength, etc., so, grade number, which just states tensile strength, doesn't even come close to telling the whole story!

I say they are "softer" less prone to "snap"
Neither.....they are junk that generally won't even make an SAE Grade 2
strength spec!
