<VV> Windshield and Rear Window - '65

I've got the windshield and rear window removed from my '65 Monza
and have finished welding in patches where I cut out a bunch of rust.
The front seems to have two holes at each lower corner for drains.
The rear doesn't.  It looks to me like those rear corners would hold 
water at least as well as the front, and both of the rear corners were
rusted away such that my patches there are about 10" long.  

Should there be some sort of drains in the rear?  It looks like they'd 
need tubes or the water would drain into the rear deck/package area.   

I'm all set with new trim clips and enough tar rope for both, but what's the
thinking on silicone sealant in the channel.  It looks like most of the 
rust was caused by water trapped around the clips, maybe BY the
sealant.
