Hey Bob,
The padded A piller pieces actually first appeared in the 67 models... and  
the padded dash, although thicker in 67 than in 66, only met one side of 
the  speaker grill, not on three sides like the ones before and after...
:-)
Best to go with the VIN (located on the dash at the windshield), although  
the front marker light color is a good indicator.
