Don't know what it is, but it works; seems water based and has a 
pleasent scent of it's own. Primarily developed for marketing to the 
house pet people, the stuff works everywhere I've tried it.  In the 
houshold cleaning supplies at your favorite market.  Accept no 
substitutes until you've tried the real thing!
