Brian,
I have the '61 shaft in the '61 transmission sitting on the floor. The
reason I know it is the
'61 shaft is because the '64 shaft is to large to fit in the '61
transmission.
Actually, I have it on the hoist and I can manually shift it from underneath
the car. I wouldn't
mind so much pulling the engine again, except that I have all of the sheet
metal buttoned up.
