When I passed my safety inspection of my Greenbrier last week, I had the
owner of the garage test my exhaust gases with his tailpipe sensor which gives a
readout of exhaust gases in the PPM range. It's not mandatory but I have the
readout incase I get reported to the' thought police' by the 'Birkenstock
Sandal Crowd' for polluting.

So, the garage tested the road draft tube as well? <grin>

CO is one reading, but the HC reading would be the best reading of rich/lean
condition. CO2 is not a pollution rated byproduct - although California is
trying to do that to put a end-run around the mileage standards.
The three gases for pollution control testing are CO, HC and Oxides of
Nitrogen.
