<VV> Pop top Pistons

taking a engine core apart, you know how one finds stuff they don't 
expect, seems someone took off the smog heads, meaning the motor still 
had the high top pistons in it, and bolted on stock late 95 hp heads 
with a stock head gasket, and it appears the engine actually ran, in 
spite of the 0.00" squish clearance.  I suspect it may have been a bit 
noisy, but there sure wasn't any carbon build up where the head and 
piston met, and with just the heads off, it looks like there's no 
serious damage ...
who'd a thunk ...
