<VV> Corvair firsts

I believe that the Corvair was GM's first unit-body construction car.   I 
have seen it referred to as GM's first DOMESTIC unit-body car which leads me  
to suspect that perhaps there was an earlier unit-body Opel, Vauxhall 
and/or  Holden.  
 
I believe that the Corvair was the first American car with 4-wheel  
independent suspension.
 
The '66 Corvair was the world's first production car with a front  spoiler.
