The only Japanese car the latest Vette might resemble is the Acura NSX. Not 
 too shabby. 
If GM continues to make money on the Vette, and they sell enough Aveos,  
(MPG) the Vette will continue. Like any car - that included the Corvair -  if 
the company can't make money on it, it deserves to die.
I was able to afford a C6.  I am sure at least some others can,  as well.
