AOL Autos has an "article" entitled "GM Bankruptcy 101" that includes a  
timeline of "Key Dates In GM History".  For 1961 it says; "1961 [sic] Ralph  
Nader brands GM's Corvair as a death trap in his book, 'Unsafe at Any Speed.' 
It  led to the establishment of the first U.S highway safety agency."
