When the coil gets hot it cannot deliver the voltage necessary under load (pressure) in the combustion chamber to fire the plugs. Coils are cheap. If you have a spare, you don't  even have to mount it. Just hook the wires up to it temporally.

63 coupe automatic. has miss under load when hot . runs great when cold  
after about 30 mi has miss when going from stop or pulling hill. all ideas  
welcome. new plugs points cap, rotor, condensor. changed out condensor with  
another new one did not help.
