<VV> Carb heat / Summer - Winter venting?

never realized they are unnecesary on places like mine (40 F on Winter 
to 100 F
on Summer), ... is it right ?

  Does you engine always warmup nicely?  Quickly?  No need then...  If 
it's a lot slower in the cooler temps.. then closing them off would be 
good.
