<VV> Tie rod needed

There you go, the "tie rod" connects the drag link (or center link) to
the wheel knuckle (spindle) at the steering arm. There is one tie road
on each side of the car. The part we usually replace due to wear is a
tie rod end. There are four of those, one at each end of the tie rod. A
tie rod sleeve connects the two tie rod ends to make a tie rod. The drag
link connects two tie rods with the pitman arm and idler arm.

Whew, no wonder people use the wrong term. maybe there are no right
terms! ggg

Anyway, the center link (drag link) is easy to bend. Just jump a curb
with a high spot in the middle, or a big rock.Instant toe in usually.

IIRC, most all drag links are the same. Pick a straight used one. Should
be very plentiful with used parts collectors.

edit...I see, Clark's lists the 60 as being different.

>Mike--I'm not sure I'm calling it the right thing. Clark's may be calling it "drag link" by what I'm seeing on their used catalog on pg 26 but it runs from pitman arm to both side tie rod arms. Not sure if they even have it. I think I'll sit on it until after convention. May come up with something there. It's actually my brother in law's car that got bent. I won't tell you how he bent it as he was embarassed to tell me. ken
