<VV> Which way the connector goes?

What says the brain trust concerning which direction the swivel should  
point? Both inward? Both outward? Both to the right? Etc... The shop manuals  
either hides the info very well, or the info is not there. I know the wrong  
placement will shorten bellows life. I used to know, but my one cylinder  brain has 
misplaced the information.
