<VV> GM - no specific Vair

This is about passion (and the lack thereof in today's GM). From
everything I've read, the Corvair team had passion. Try and find
someone from the original ChevyII design team who will talk about the
ChevyII like the folks from the original Corvair team talk about the
Corvair.
The Miata team had passion, and the team was US-based (their design beat
the design of the Japan-based team). The Miata and the Corvair have a
lot more in common than it might appear on the surface -- both were
pretty much "clean sheet" of paper designs done by a relatively small
team of car people.
Btw, where do you think car company profits really end up? The only
major car company that I'm aware of that's privately held is Chrysler.

Funny. I am able to enter/egress and sit in a Solstice/Sky with comfort,
but have to shoehorn myself into a Miata. Why would I want something
that
fits like a size 6 shoe on a size 10 foot? And that is not only MADE in
Japan, but designed & engineered there and where the profits end up at?
And
you wonder why you can't find a good job here.....
At least my Corvair was designed & engineered here, and the profits
stayed
here, too. (Corvair content) There's more than one reason to love my
Corvair. ..... Hummm, sounds like a new topic, why I love my
Corvair.....
;o)
