For me, that's the whole attraction. Basic, basic transport at its best. 
Grey cardboard door trims and tiny hubcaps. If this one weren't such a shed 
I would be saving up to buy it myself.

Alan, longing for the days when you had to pay extra for a second sunvisor, 
an interior light (which of course didn't open when you opened the doors), 
opening vent windows, genuine rubber mats on the floor, a trunk lock etc. 
(those are all things that actually were extra on my 56 English Ford!).

These things are in my opinion what the Corvair was originally about - it 
was conceived around the time of the Eisenhower mini-recession in 58 (in 
fact funnily enough, so was I!), and like me, it's in that form that it is 
most true to its time.
