<VV> Convention Parking

I know that when I was on the BOD and Convention locations and dates were
discussed, I never quite understood the family vacation angle during the
peak of the tourist season when prices are higher, the temps are higher etc.
I look at the Convention crowd and see the age demo and my take is, this is
a car event where friends old and new get together for their family reunion.
It could be held almost anywhere and any time of year (short of the winter
months where us people in the frozen tundra could run into weather issues
while driving to the locale) and people will come see their extended family.
I do understand the need to make it a desirable time and location to help
get the most people possible and maybe there are a few people that can only
go during the tradional season. I am not trying to beat what's left of the
poor old dead horse again on this subject, just an out loud thought.

Allen,
I agree with you 100%. A convention in a downtown area in most cases deters
people from coming due to limited parking and having to pay for parking.
The Lexington convention was the only one that had plenty of parking.
Buffalo was a big disaster. I have also decided not to go to Florida.
Corsa needs to do a better job in planning for the Convention.
